Community of Sun Peaks

The Sun Peaks Sports School offers ski and snowboard instruction for guests with disabilities and special needs. 

ArtZone is a community-based group of local arts and culture enthusiasts. We work with our community to organize festivals, events, workshops, art demonstrations and cultural events to showcase this place we call home. 

The Sun Peaks Bluebird Day Fund Society is used to provide athletic and recreational programs to support the development of individuals, including those who are economically and/or socially disadvantaged.

Rotary Club members share a passion for both community service and friendship. They discuss the community’s needs and discovers creative ways to meet them. The club accepts new members and meets three times a month.

Sun Peaks Bear Aware is a non-profit organization founded in the spring of 2022. Through education, information and community engagement we aim to minimize human-bear conflicts, creating an environment where people and bears can coexist.

The Sun Peaks Alpine Club, formerly the "Kamloops Ski Team", "Tod Mountain Ski Team", and "Kamloops Alpine Club", has been running for over 50 years. The club shares its deep rooted passion for ski racing.

The Sun Peaks Freestyle Club is dedicated to promoting competitive freestyle skiing at Sun Peaks and beyond. Athletes compete in all freestyle disciplines but always keep having fun and being safe as their top priorities.

The Sun Peaks Historical Society (SPHS) is a non-profit Society created for the purpose of preserving and celebrating the unique history, stories and culture of Sun Peaks and its surrounding areas. 

This organization helps raise money for equipment, training and resources for first responders in Sun Peaks. Its mandate is to have the resources to offer basic training to anyone in the community.

Tourism Sun Peaks is a member-based organization representing over 1,110 residents and businesses in the community. Its mandate is to promote Sun Peaks to the world and drive an increase in resort visits year round.

Established to promote and encourage participation in the sport of cross country skiing, the Nordic Club offers programs for junior skiers, special coaching for mature students, and social outings with tips provided.

SPRTA's goal is to promote a healthy community lifestyle and an appreciation of the environment through the development, maintenance, and management of free-to-use recreational trails in Sun Peaks.

The Sun Peaks Education Society is dedicated to the promotion and delivery of a flexible and diverse community based education in Sun Peaks.

The Sun Peaks Skate Park Foundation's sole mandate is designing, building and maintaining a high quality, world-class, free use skate park within the municipal boundary of the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality.

The Sun Peaks Fire Rescue is a composite fire department staffed by three full-time officers and 30 volunteers whose passion is to maintain the safety and protection of the resort town's residents, staff, guests, and neighbours.
